People come to meditation for all kinds of reasons.
I’ve worked with clients who are suffering from anxiety attacks, insomnia, sexual and intimacy issues, grief, heartbreak, good old-fashioned stress and more.
When I started meditating I had no idea of the freedom that was available to me and to everyone. I was stuck in negative thinking and anxiety. I was attached to a story about myself, and it wasn’t a very nice story. Through working with several meditation teachers, including Shinzen Young and Adyashanti, I was shown another way to live. I went from having panic attacks and dysfunctional relationships to a very happy and healthy life. The transformation that I experienced gave me a passion for teaching meditation.
According to studies, here some of the things meditation may be able to help you with:
- Depression and Anxiety
- Anger issues
- Drug and alcohol addiction
- Weight loss
- ADD and ADHD
- Sexual issues
And the list goes on.
I teach meditation to groups, individuals, couples, and families. It is a joy to help my clients to move through emotional and mental blocks, while evolving to see themselves and world in new ways.
In addition to teaching I am a contributing editor for Deconstructing Yourself, a popular meditation blog. That’s where you can find my Mindful Sex series as well as many more articles by me and other meditation teachers. I am currently writing a book about mindful sex for Parallax Press, the publishers for Thich Nhat Hanh. I’m also an actor and filmmaker and love to bring my creative passion into my teaching and writing.
