Who Do You Not Want To Send Love and Kindness To?
In this workshop we will practice Lovingkindness meditation and direct to it the people who we feel most angry with and hurt by. We will cultivate this positivity and send it to the victims, survivors, and perpetrator from Orlando, from the Stanford rape case, and others. We will also send love and kindness to the politicians, political parties, and organizations that we love and the ones we do not.
This is an opportunity to let go of your anger, opinions, fear, and grief and move into a space of love and caring. By sending love to the shadow elements of our world, we will also be sending it to our own personal shadow. Healing doesn’t come from hating, resisting, or ignoring the shadow. Healing comes when we look all parts of ourselves, and our world, with clear eyes and a loving heart.
This workshop is suitable for those with or without previous meditation experience.
This workshop will take place at The Silverlake Independent Jewish Community Center at 1110 Bates Ave, Los Angeles, CA.
There is parking. The entrance is not on Bates. Please enter the parking lot on Effie. You can park and then come through the gate into the courtyard. You will then walk up the steps to the left on the outside of the building.
I look forward to seeing you!
(If you can’t make this one get on the mailing list for next time!)
